Join Yoga Works senior teacher and author of Total Transformation, Elizabeth Flint for 5 foundational workshops guaranteed to launch, reboot and refine your yoga practice. Whether you are a beginner, nervous and curious about starting a yoga practice, or lately life has gotten in the way of your yoga practice, even if you have a regular yoga practice that you’d like to refine, this is your opportunity to practice with an expert teacher. Workshop 1: Start Here Thursday January 23, 2020 6:30-8:00pm
In this workshop you will learn the ins and outs of the standing poses that are part of almost all yoga classes. You will learn how to use props to make the poses more accessible and how to safely go deeper into the poses. We will also work on safe ways to increase flexibility and strength to prevent injury and advance our practice more quickly.
Workshop 2: Hip Opening Thursday Feb 27 6:30-8:00pm
In this workshop you will learn how to safely and effectively open the hips to create more flexibility and ease of movement. You will learn how to approach sun salutations in the best way for your body. We will also practice moving with the breath to experience the meditative benefits of vinyasa yoga.

In this workshop you will learn how to strengthen and stabilize your core and upper body in order to safely bear weight on the arms. We will also explore guided practices to turn ANGER and FEAR into COURAGE and LOVE. Something we all need right now!
Workshop 4: Back to the Heart Thursday April 23 6:30-8:00pm
In this workshop you will learn how to open safely and effectively open the spine for back bending poses. You will experience the magic of backbends to energize the body and open the heart.
Workshop 5: Turn it Up (side down) Thursday May 14 6:30-8:00pm
In this workshop you will learn how to take your yoga practice upside down. Inversions are a key part of yoga as they help detox the body and clear the mind, but they can be intimidating. You will learn fun and safe ways to go upside down using props and assistance to do the inversions that are right for you.
